Job Description

• OTM system maintenance from application and DB perspective
• Database administration, 
• Proactive Problem Management - OTM  DBA perspective
• Trouble shooting of the issues in production environments

• Maintaining stability of the systems - Ensure that application is 24X7 available

• Oracle DML Operations, Performance tuning of existing and new queries and functions/procedures  in the database

• Ensure all standards and procedures are enforced and adhered to.

• Keep the data of the application intact with proper security and privileges. When security breach is seen, escalate to concerned people.

• Monitor the physical system for memory, CPU utilization and report on daily basis to customer when thresholds reached.

• Monitor Schema Sizes/Segment sizes growth. Up to date purging of the old data as per agreed purging policy

• Preparing DB health report. Provide a daily update to the customer on database growth and application performance.

• In case of operations maintained by multiple vendors, escalate through proper channels to get work done.

• Establish relationship with all customers and act as immediate escalation for issues. Contact should be made with each customer on daily basis.

• Ensure that level of service for customers is both maintained and if necessary, improved.

• Run own empirical measurements across customers to ensure operational efficiency

• Oracle OTM database administration in multiple operating environments and database versions
• Oracle RAC/ASM management
• UNIX system administration with shell scripting
• Performance tuning at all levels and granularity
• Database standards documentation
• Backup and recovery management
• Oracle Network management
• Dynamic and manages production support (24X7) and development environments
• Oracle memory management and capacity planning
• Advanced concepts management like Data Guard, Replication and Grid control
• Flexible, prepared to get into the detail
• Leadership skills
• Self-motivated, high energy level, prepared to put in the extra effort when required
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Should be a self starter and operate independently and as a team
• ITIL certified
• OTM DBA certified
• Excellent knowledge of OTM Technology from DBA perspective

Good understanding of international forwarding and supply chain business.
