Lead Machinery Engineer

Responsibilities:
 
  • Monitor the overall execution of MEC work scope in accordance with applicable Project Procedures and Standards, including Foster Wheeler and/or Client Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control.
  • Review Client Standards and Practices at the beginning of the Project and compile all Client specific requirements, which are critical and/or non-standard. Forward such compiled list to the PM/PEM for resolution and then circulate to the assigned MEC team.
  • Perform activities such as – issue of Material Requisitions and Technical Bid Evaluations as per relevant Technical Practices.
  • Review and approve all Critical Material Requisitions prepared by the Team members.
  • Monitor all Technical Bid Evaluations prepared by the team members.
  • Ensure Vendor Drawings and Documentation is being reviewed by all team members as per relevant Technical Practices.
  • Update Progress Report for the MEC Discipline of all activities performed within the reporting timeline. 
  • Execution of assigned work in accordance with applicable contract procedures, codes and standards.
  • Ensure that Contract requirements are implemented through the established Job Specifications and Standards.
  • Prepare the MEC Discipline Design Instruction for the Project.
Requirements:
 
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years of experience in Refinery / Petrochemical / Chemical /Power / Pharmaceutical Plant Projects.  
  • EExperience in selection and preparation of technical specifications, material requisitions, and technical evaluation of bids and review of vendor drawings/documents for rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, agitators and package equipment.   
  • Conversant with international codes and standards.
  • Working experience in design and engineering team for conceptual studies, FEED & EPC phases of grass-root and revamp projects.
  • Experience in minimum 2 projects as a Lead Engineer with strong communication and inter-personal skills.
